Kristin Weber
Kristin started teaching Dance at Dobie in 2014. Kristin is also the Cheer Sponsor, Athletic Coordinator, and PE Department Head. She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Applied Movement Science and a Minor in Curriculum and Instruction. Her student teaching took place at Pillow Elementary and Westlake High School in Physical Education and Dance. She completed her M.Ed. from Lamar University in Education Administration in 2015 with a Principal certification. Kristin started taking dance classes at the age of 2. She was a dancer for the Southeast Texas Ballet Company and for her studio's competition team, Taylor A's. She also taught Drill Team Prep class at Taylor Dance Studio her Junior and Senior year. In high school, Kristin was a Port Neches-Groves High School Indianette. She moved to Canyon Lake her Junior year and was able to dance for the Smithson Valley High School Silver Spurs. Upon moving back to Port Neches, Kristin was able to complete her Senior year as a Port Neches-Groves High School Indianette Lieutenant. In college, Kristin had the opportunity to dance on The University of Texas Dance Team for two years. She served as the Fundraising Officer her Sophomore year. On the team, Kristin competed at NDA Nationals in Daytona, Flordia. Kristin also worked for Texas Football as a Student Assistant from 2008-2012. Before working at Dobie Middle School, Kristin taught Physical Education at Hart Elementary for two years. Her first principal then brought her over to Dobie to start a Dance program. Kristin loves giving her students the opportunity to take dance classes every day!
